Canadian National Railway Company's Visit to UW-Superior

It was a special and exceptional classroom experience for the UW-Superior Transportation and Logistics Management major (T&L) students when CN top management officials addressed their class.  They addressed issues on Supply Chain Management, Just-in-time inventory, Logistics, and many more transportation and logistics related topics and also answered questions asked by the students.  James M. Foote, CN Executive Vice-President, Sales and Marketing and a graduate of UW-Superior, and Gordon T. Trafton, Vice-President, Wisconsin Central Division, addressed the T&L class.

CN’s university recruiting coordinator, Tanya Lovegrove, spoke to students regarding internships with CN in the near future, and Michael Smith currently employed at CN shared his work experience.

The UW-Superior T&L students greatly appreciated CN’s donation towards the Transportation and Management Fund and most of all the time they spent with them.  Students who attended this gathering said that bringing guest speakers like CN makes the major more interesting and closely related to real world experiences.
