The Mission of the University
of Wisconsin-Superior's
Transportation and Logistics Management Major:
"Develop exceptional leaders through the integration of a Liberal Arts and
Business foundation with a Transportation and Logistics Management curriculum
and internship."
Strategic
Goals
In order to promote and enhance the
mission, the program will:
- Develop and
improve relevant courses in transportation, logistics and supply chain
management.
- Enhance
interactive learning through touring facilities such as, terminals,
warehouses and ports.
- Develop an
integrated corporate sponsored internship program that expands
communication skills, an appreciation of global diversity and professional
expertise.
- Incorporate
recommendations from the advisory board of professionals for continuous
improvement of the program.
- Utilize
guest speakers who will provide up-to date expertise to students, faculty
and the public.
- Establish a
faculty enrichment process encouraging the growth of knowledge by the use
of grants and endowments.
- Develop a
scholarship program that supports entering and ongoing students.
- Affiliate
and actively participate with professional organizations.
- Develop
strategic alliances with government agencies, industry and academic
institutions
