UW-Superior Criminal Justice Student Association brings home 21 awards from Regional Conference

On November 2-4, nine members of the University of Wisconsin Superior Criminal Justice Student Association (CJSA) – Alpha Delta PI, traveled to Ferris State University, in Big Rapids, MI for the American Criminal Justice Association Region 6 Conference. The group participated in Knowledge tests, Physical Agility, Crime Scene Investigation and Firearms competitions. The keynote speaker for the conference was Dr. Robert Parson, of Ferris State University, who covered the topic of “Use of Force Continuum.”

In the competition portion on the trip, our nine members brought home 21 awards back to UW-Superior, everything from Knowledge Tests, to Crime Scene Investigation, to Firearm Competition. Below are the results from the conference.

“I am very proud of all of our members. Each of them put a lot of time and effort in to this trip and competitions. Every one of them earned these awards through their hard work out on the shooting line, in the Crime Scene training and academically here at UW-Superior. This is a great achievement for all of our members. With the national conference coming up in April, we still have a lot of training and work to do but I am hopeful that these members will once again show how great not only Alpha Delta PI but the Criminal Justice Program here at UW-Superior is” said Alpha Delta PI President Jeffrey Jensen.

This is not the last trip for the group this year. Alpha Delta PI will be traveling down to Kansas City, MO in early April for the American Criminal Justice Association National Conference where they will compete again in the same competitions.
