Welcome to the Nonprofit Administration Certificate Program!

This program provides training specific to managing a nonprofit agency. It strengthens the following skills: strategic planning, working with the board of directors, developing fiscal policy, enhancing human resource management, fund raising, evaluating programs and many more.

Those seeking the Nonprofit Administration Certificate complete ten Continuing Education Units (100 hours) specific to administering a not-for-profit agency. Participants complete six required courses, and eight to ten electives to complete the 100 hour requirement.

Most of the courses in the Nonprofit Administration program are offered on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Experienced instructors provide the training and are chosen for their expertise in the nonprofit sector.

How to Enroll

For registration information call the Center for Continuing Education/Extension at 715-394-8469 or 800-370-9882 if you are outside the Duluth/Superior area. Please register at least two (2) weeks in advance of the course date. If enrollment is not adequate one week prior to the course date, the course will be canceled. Refreshments and handouts are included in the registration fee. Lunch is not usually included unless there are special circumstances.

To enroll in the certificate program, please call to have a registration form sent to you. Cost is $25 made payable to UW-Superior. Members of the certificate program receive a 3-ring binder and discounts on all future classes in the certificate program.

NOTE: All workshops and seminars are available through open enrollment. It is not necessary to enroll in the certificate program to take a class.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: Full refund less a $15 processing fee, provided you cancel five (5) or more working days prior to the scheduled date of the workshop.  Less than five (5) working days notice, a 60% refund is made.  If you fail to attend without canceling, you will be assessed the full workshop fee.  We encourage participants to register at least one week prior to the workshop.  The decision to cancel for insufficient registrations is made at this time!  We reserve the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient registration.
